Jordyn Tatum

​New Mexico native Jordyn Tatum is a soprano and educator recognized for her versatile artistry and commitment to the choral tradition. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Music Education (2024) Jordyn’s musical foundation began in 2008 with the Cathedral Chorister program at the Cathedral of Saint John in downtown Albuquerque, where she now serves as Chorister Assistant and Soprano Section Leader. Her tenure with the Cathedral Choirs has taken her to the world’s most prestigious stages. As a soloist, she has premiered contemporary works in historic venues including Westminster Abbey, the UK Cathedrals of Winchester and Canterbury, and Saint Thomas Church 5th Avenue. Her voice is also featured on four commercially released albums by the Cathedral of St. John under the RavenCD label. A dedicated scholar of her craft, Ms. Tatum’s recent credits include: 2026: Finalist in the Colorado Young Artist Bach Competition; 2025: Choral Scholar and Intern for the St. Thomas Girls Chorister Course (NYC); 2025: Vocal Scholar at the Spire Chamber Ensemble Choral Conducting Institute; 2023: Inaugural Schola Cantorum Course at the IU Jacobs School of Music. This summer, Ms. Tatum will make her Carnegie Hall début performing as a chorus member in Duruflé’s Requiem and join the Santa Fe Desert Chorale as a Seasonal Intern. She performs regularly with Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico and shares her passion for music as a middle school choral director for Albuquerque Public Schools.
